             abstract = "The growing use of natural resources in a disorderly fashion has 
                         demanded constant monitoring of your condition and occupation by 
                         way of monitoring and ecological-economic zoning. The knowledge of 
                         the use and land cover favors for measures to ensure the 
                         preservation and maintenance of the environment and land 
                         management are adequate to reality, since by means of these 
                         factors you can track the likely environmental impacts and 
                         socioeconomic development of a local to global scales. The 
                         techniques of GIS and remote sensing coupled with Geographical 
                         Information System (GIS) have been applied to use mapping and land 
                         cover. The aim of this paper is to analyze the conversion of the 
                         use of land occupation from different angles, with respect to 
                         geoprocessing techniques, in two distinct periods in the 
                         southeastern portion of Roraima State in Northwest Amazon. Two 
                         analyzes were conducted to verify the use and occupation of land 
                         in the Spring and TerraView computer program. Much of farmland 
                         were converted to poultry, which probably does not show a 
                         continuation of farming for profit and its abandonment caused by 
                         nutritional deficiency of the soil and thus become unfit for 
                         cultivation in subsequent years. Possibly a fuzzy logic would fit 
                         well to the types of data analyzed, because the attribute query 
                         has exaggerated stiffness analysis.",
